Seeker:
Swami Ji, sometimes when my friends tell me their problems and ask for help, I feel so helpless, I think of you. This is one such time. For the past couple of years, my friend has been having many health challenges, both her husband and herself. Previously she had a major altercation with a co-worker and since then she feels like she’s going downhill, struggling with issues from one to the next. I am not sure what to tell her. The universe keeps sending me to you.
Adi Narayan Ji:
She may lay her prayers at the feet of Mother and she will be guided. Mother answers all, be assured.
Seeker:
Ok, I will tell her.
Adi Ji:
May I share my understanding of suffering with you? The karma weighs heavy on everyone. I understand your compassionate heart feels sorry and wants to help. That is very beautiful. From doing this work for a very long time now, I have learned that only change from within can heal. Otherwise, life’s challenges only come back stronger and stronger. There is a great order and purpose to our suffering that challenges the human spirit to transform and change. In fact, that is the one and only purpose for all suffering.
Seeker:
I understand this fully. I am presently using this same philosophy to effect some small changes within myself, but, as you know, everyone is on his/her own journey and at different points. I am trying also to equip myself spiritually and mentally to deal with challenges which come our way everyday. I am now beginning to learn.
Adi Ji:
Our life’s challenges drive us to the point of getting fed up with ourselves, and our mental and emotional unrest. This is the goal of it all. Be bold and search out teachers and practices and try many things to see what resonance they have with you. From there, your path of healing grows and grows. I have tried and studied many things. Those practices I have worked with for many years, and have found powerful, have brought about a most beautiful transformation in my mind, body and soul. It is these practices that I share with my devotees in the advancement of their healing and spiritual development. Over these 16 years, because it takes time, they have come to experience healing, more wholeness, and higher spiritual movement within themselves. So be bold and courageous. Sometimes the greatest help comes from unexpected places and practices.
Seeker:
Thanks so much for your divine words of wisdom and advice. You continue to be an inspiration to me. Love and light. Sai Ram.
Adi Ji:
With love and blessings.
